Livability Community Mission Team

How the Community Mission team at Livability can help your church:

We offer:

  • Training events on issues such as maintaining Christian identity, motivating volunteers and managing staff
  • Help and advice on researching the needs in your community
  • Evaluation of community projects and helpful recommendations for change
  • Dynamic small group resources on issues of poverty, compassion and injustice, free to download
  • Facilitation of away-days for project or church groups.

We will:

  • Prioritise our churches and community projects in areas of deprivation
  • Tailor our approach to your church context
  • Provide long-term, flexible and responsive support from community mission advisors at low cost
  • Work with a wide range of churches (Anglican, Baptist, Pentecostal, URC, Salvation Army, Methodist, Independent Evangelical and many more).

We are:

  • Jesus-focused - We keep Jesus at the centre of our work as our guide, example and inspiration
  • Committed to prayer - We maintain a cycle of prayer, action and reflection in our daily work, especially in challenging situations
  • Mission-oriented - We prioritise local mission in the life of the church
  • Committed to justice and compassion - We believe activism is at the heart of the Christian faith.
